I have a MacBook Pro 2011 with Mountain lion and 750gb. (50gb free) So far everything perfect, but when you restart the install Mavericks, tells me that the disc is damaged and can not be repaired or simply not recognized. I have a copy of Time Machine, but not let me restore from bootable utilities installation. What do I do?
I thought of deleting everything and start over, but I will can install Mavericks? If I delete it?

I did the same and I could solve! I hope they serve you well. During installation I pulled a disk error (and had no backup), then follow the instructions that gives you right there. Using the "Disk Utility" can you re-verify disk (I did that) and then gave me a warning that should fix it if or if. Then I started to repair and after a while told me that was properly repaired. I closed Disk Utility, I went back to the installer and everything worked perfectly!

I had that problem, but fortunately has a solution, first re start your mac but leaves the alt key pressed, there will appear a menu, go to disk utility, and then choose one hd disk, then verify disk. and finally repair disk. It will take a while, but ultimately dita this repaired. salts and reincidas utility. and you can install the operating system without losing any files. Greetings.

I have a MacMini, and when trying to install Mavericks did not have in mind the space required for installation, and during jumped an error "insufficient disk space". The problem is that when you restart or start the installer skipped automatically and will not let me access the disk to free space and install correctly. No works nor any combination of keys to boot modes, and the absence of drive Superdrive I can not reinstall Lion from disk. What can I do? Help please. Thanks and regards.

Hello,
Me neither Mavericks let me install and leaves me back to Mountain Lion. I try to repair the disk but it tells me it can not be reset and return to the installer instead of light normally.
Do you know that I can do? or else ... Do you know how I can open the finder for saving the files I need?
Thank you!
