When trying to check for updates through Windows Update, we received the following error:
"The website has encountered a problem and can not display the page you are trying to view. The options listed below can help you solve the problem."

The error code is 8024402F.

After trying all the solutions provided by Microsoft and various forums and websites that claim to have the solution we are almost desperate. No work and our team seems unable to find Windows updates.

Solution:
What happens is that our team is not able to find the server where to look for updates.
The solution is to change the DNS for each Microsoft to find that fate.
The DNS that we have to include:

Home: 4.2.2.1
Alternative: 4.2.2.2

Where change this:

Windows XP: Start / Settings / Control Panel / Network Connections
Right click on the connection, Properties.
Protocol TCP / IP

Windows 7: Start / Control Panel / Network and Internet / Network and Sharing center / Change Adapter settings / Local Area Connection (right click on the connection) resources
Properties
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IP v4)

After changing the DNS it is recommended Internet Explorer add these sites to "Trusted sites", as follows:

We open a new Internet Explorer window.
Internet Options / Security / Trusted Sites / Sites
Uncheck the "Require server verification (https)"
Add the following URL:

https: //*.update.microsoft.com

And that's it, close your browser and return to Start / Windows Update, and should work correctly.
