iPhone 5S will not start hangs

Hi! This is my first post in this forum and I appeal to all of you, for the next topic which I will describe to you what happens to me.

I happen to have an iPhone 5s that had jailbreak with IOS version 8.1 and try to WIFI upgrade to IOS 8.2 and now the iPhone I left with a black apple progress bar and it never goes on, I think this as locked, issue is that if I let down the power button does not turn off, to turn it off I have to hold down the power button and the home button simultaneously for several seconds and goes black and I think it is turned off, if I connect to iTunes does not recognize my phone either, what can I do to restore it with itunes ?, and tried to put it in DFU mode but do not, is there any program or application that you can get, what advice you give me to restore ?.

A greeting and thank you very much for your answers.

Never upgrade a jailbroken iPhone via OTA, do it from itunes

Hold the Home and Power buttons until you apple appears

If this does not work, try to put it into recovery mode or DFU mode manually if you do not get used redsn0w or RecBoot

Greetings and welcome :)

Well not as just got put manually into DFU mode and is already in itunes connected and are downloading the version corresponding iOS, had no idea that you could not update via OTA when you Jailbreak hehe, well now you can I guess that is why not start so nothing to see if all goes well, finish as you'll let you know if that fixes the issue or not. I hope so, thank you very much for your reply , very friendly.

Well the fact is that the update was downloading iPhone from iTunes and put the missing 36 minutes with the phone in DFU mode and went off alone mode and has as reset and returned to Apple and the progress bar progression, do not understand why, the fact is that now makes me remaining 33 minutes to download the software update iPhone's still downloading itunes but now makes no sim card installed in the cases that are trying to activate, I know sim need for this, I have only one sim that I have on my iPhone 6, not that I'm trying to repair. Do you have a time limit to be in DFU mode? It is the upgrade and I have wifi pc then I think why it takes, but would have to do with a network cable. See if you can tell me something.

so that it can update / restore must wait until the corresponding version of iOS is discharged

Yes, so that the cases can turn you require that you have a sim card

Now, to activate itself, but to restore joe ?, no no no because it takes such a long to download right now I'm doing with laptop and network cable and tells me 71 minutes do not understand, what I asked you is whether the iPhone is in DFU mode for a maximum time ?, let that if after 30 minutes for instance exit the DFU mode if nothing is done, and another question is there any way to download the iOS and restore but taking and iOS latest drop in the pc ?, I say so not only out of the DFU

But once you update / restore You need to activate it if you want to use

You can download the update from here and then update manually or restore

I guess, because I have not checked, the iPhone comes out of DFU mode once it begins to be restored

Uses this web release me and when I get into DFU mode and iTunes tell me restore and update, as I do not try to download the latest version and I select the file under me from that page you indicate, because noIt gives option to nothing as you give to restore and update the iTunes gets directly to download the latest update. And yes, I confirm that in DFU if iTunes does not get to restore the telephone, for example if it takes a long time to download the update comes a time that is out of DFU mode and restarts and I again left hanging with the apple and the progress bar, because the update continues to discharge and the phone gets no data as yet has not discharged.

To install it manually, once you download it in mac have to hold down the alt key and click on update or restore in iTunes, a window will appear for you to choose the ipsw you downloaded you. In windows is holding down the shift key.

Although I see from that link not the latest version of iOS 8.2, iTunes will not let you install a previous appearing, Apple is no longer signing those versions, you must install the 8.2, download it from this other link

Yesterday I had no time to try to restore manually, I have a doubt about the version of device that I have to choose if Global or GSM.

your option is fine, but you should allow time to iTunes to fully discharge the firmware. Patience, discharge is often very slow.
