Two of the new features of iOS 8 are giving some problems users are the continuity function, responsible for enabling the connection between iPad, iPhone and Mac, so that you can take a call on your iPad or continue working from the iPhone to Mac without losing a minute.

This function only requires in principle that the devices are on the same WiFi and iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite.

The handsfree allows Siri by voice command "Hey Siri", Siri is activated and you can proceed with your inquiry or execute the action you wanted without touching the phone. In this case, only requires that the device is plugged in and have iOS 8.

Unfortunately, some people seem to be having problems using any of these features. Luckily, there is an easy solution that seems to be solving it.

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap General.
  • Click on Applications Handoff and suggested applications.
  • Handoff deselected and then back on.
  • Returns to the previous menu twice, to find in the Settings menu.
  • Enter FaceTime.
  • Uncheck Facetime and then back on.
  • Restart your iPhone.
You will have to repeat this process with all devices that are giving you problems, ie if it fails your iPad, have to do with the iPhone and iPad. When you're done trying to test the system with a call to see if it has worked. For most people it is proving a solution to the problem, but I hope that Apple has in mind for the next update.

I remind you that the continuity feature is available from the iPhone 5, iPad 4th generation, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad Mini with Retina display, and iPod touch 5th generation.
