Asus Eee PC 1011PX unconfigured Screen

Hello everyone!

I write because I have a problem with my netbook. It's a shame I can not upload the pictures (I doubt that the laptop from which I write is in full power).

The problem that I have with my Asus is that from the moment you turn it on and I get the BIOS (with the "Asus EEE pc screen and so on), the screen is deconfigured. By this I mean that the screen shows me a fraction of the total picture, it would be larger than the screen itself.

This has happened to me since I connected the laptop to both a projector and a monitor which was home, to work tirelessly both sight.

The only way I have to work normally with it is switched on and off whenever I have the problem, until the boot itself, tells me it is not started correctly and that should solve some problems. When restarting after having solved all goes cinema, but the nightmare begins when I turn it off again or have to install updates.

The image configuration is where Windows 7 considered the optimal resolution for the team.

1st thing I did to try to fix it was to contact via email technical support from Asus. I was told to do the following:

1) Make a backup of my data.

2) Press F2 to enter the BIOS, search "boot booster" and disable it. (I already had it off). Press F10 to save the changes.

3) Restarting the laptop and press F9 to start the recovery siguendo the steps in this link:

After recovery I went to install my backup my data. The problem persisted.

They asked me through that application / program had made the backup. When I told them I did it using the wizard of Windows 7 on an external hard drive, I was asked to contact Microsoft, more they could do.

I have suggested options like making a disk partition (which currently can not because I do not see any information of my screen properly). Also press the Fn + F4 or Fn + F8 keys, since it seems that the notebook may be thinking that is connected to an external monitor.

This option has not worked for me.
Do you have any idea how I could fix this?

Much I appreciate your suggestions.

Hello Diaz,
thank you very much for answering.
The boot booster activate it from the BIOS, but I could say what steps should I take to know if I have a generic PnP monitor (external monitor) on and where would that "identify"?
I would add that if I connect the laptop, the monitor does not appear in the device manager.
Thank you very much :)

Hi, once made the recovery must re-enable boot booster and make sure you have active generic PnP monitor and press identified.
Greetings.
