The "DF-DFERH-01" error when you walk into Google Play

error while retrieving information from server [DF-DFERH-01]

play store error while retrieving information from server

by
thank you it worked
by
Same issue, tried the solutions listed in the thread.

1.Force stop > clear data > uninstall updates on google play store.
2. Step 1 + clearing data for google services and google framework.
3. Factory reset

Same problem, comes back in a day or an hour.

HTC One M7 Lolipop 5.0.1/2
by
YAY! It worked. I just bought a Desire today and I was seriously getting frustrated. Thank you (;
by
Tnx a miilion.  I was about killing myself;)
by
Same issue on the M7 after the most recent small update on 4/1/15 ...The last update is wreaking havoc on multiple m7 device owners running Lollipop 5.0.2...The above "fix" does not work , it will come back. Google fix the problem you created with this most recent update to lollipop...it was running perfectly before this last update.

For anyone else suffering from this...you can still update and install apps by going to a computer , signing into your Google Account, clicking on menu and selecting the Play Store...There you can go to "My Apps" and update and install apps to your device. It sucks, but it works.
by
I am having the same issue  as Stillboosted, on the same device. It is really annoying. I've had this problem for almost a month or longer. Clearing Data and Uninstalling Updates is only a temporary solution... problem returns within minutes. I also did a factory reset... and problem was still present.
by
To elaborate more on this issue for the M7, if you uninstall the updates to the google play store you can instantly use it again without issue until it automatically updates in the background which usually happens within 1-5 minutes. If you have root access there are some shenanigans you can do to prevent it from auto updating.

Not sure if this is HTCs fault or Googles.
by
Updating from the computer definitely works! it sure is better than nothing. Thank you soo much!
by
Great mate. Fixed my AT100 Toshiba.
by
None of above solutions works for me. Though google help center claims to solve the issue, but still it persist in my mobile. Model Alcatel 8000D.
by

Check if the DF-DFERH-01 error is caused by third-party application or network problems

Before proceeding with the following method to fix the error in question, I recommend that you check it out:

  1. Does the error appear if you connect the phone to a different network? For example, if you are connected via Wi-Fi, connect via the mobile network and vice versa.
  2. I get the error if Android is restarted in safe mode.

More on the last point: after restarting the phone in safe mode, all third-party applications are disabled, including those that can affect the connection of Play Market with the servers.

If the Play Market apps are installed in safe mode without DF-DFERH-01 error, it can be assumed that some additional apps on the phone are to blame, most of the time they are: antivirus and other protection tools from Android, programs to clean the phone memory, VPN, any download accelerator and work, ad blockers. Warning: If you configured the VPN yourself in the connection settings, safe mode will not remove these settings, and may cause the error described. Try removing the VPN from your settings.

In case everything works in safe mode, restart your phone in normal mode and disable all those third-party apps one by one until you identify the one that is causing the error.

They are complaints from many of you who have reported headaches that are going to try to access the "Google Play Store" (formerly "Android Market") from the app installed on Android devices.

Many, including us, are getting the following error message when trying to enter the Play Store:

"Error retrieving information from server. [DF-DFERH-01] "

"There was an error retrieving server information [DF-DFERH-01]"

This error not only prevents access to install new apps, but also makes it impossible to update already installed in our devices. Judging by this page in Google forums, there are many who are going through this situation.

Undoubtedly this is a matter of Google, its servers Google Play service and the "already-started-a-no-falling-good" geolocation system.

Why do I mention the geolocation? Because the problem lies completely in Google identifies where the user is connecting.

We have a G-Slate LG and T-Mobile with ("Honeycomb") version 3.1 of Android. When we connect to internet through internet that T-Mobile offers (which is identified as originating from the United States), access to the Play Store is carried out without any mishap. But if we change the internet access to the WiFi connection we have in the office provided by Aeronet Wireless (which are recorded as originating from Puerto Rico), the error returns.

Already contacted Google and waited for a response.

Meanwhile, there are two alternative on hand to "goad" the problem:

- Get the Google Play Store via the internet browser on your Android device using the following address: http://play.google.com/store . From there you can remotely install any app to your Android device.

- Connect your Android device to the Internet via a connection that originates from the United States. This is provided by companies like AT & T, Sprint and T-Mobile.

We will be closely monitoring this matter to quickly inform them of any developments.

"Error retrieving information from server. [DF-DFERH-01] " happens when you install an apps from google app store then uninstall it, reboot the phone it will cause this problem. My problem was install emoji keyboard then uninstall it, and reboot. I solve it by restore my phone to original factory setting.
by
Nothing worked for me. Its just utterly frustrating. I'm at a loss as to what to do now.
by
Can some one please help I am also getting "error while retrieving information from server [df-dferh-01]"
Help! I have tried everything nothing seems to be working were is Android help this would never happen on apple really frustrating I have spent the whole day trying to sort this out please help!.
by
Tried all of the above, no luck.  HTC ONE M7.  This began occurring for me this week when I removed a google account and then attempted to add it back.
by
FIXED on my HTC ONE.  Uninstalled updates to Google Play Store app, rebooted.
by
Problem returns as soon as Google Play gets a chance to update itself to 5.3.6.  Factory version of 5.0.36 works fine, so I am simply uninstalling updates every time I want to use the play store.  This fix only lasts a few minutes, but it works.
by
I tried more times by cleaning datas/caches but when I open playstore  it's open after few seconds the error comes again.
by
what if its a new account

You can resolve the error saying: Error processing purchase ([DF-BPA-09]), I'm using the AT & T network and wifi light (dmax) and now I have problems. Below I will tell you how to solve
  1. Go to settings
  2. Go to Applications and enter
  3. In applications give each and choose the following google services framework if it is in Spanish and if your menu is in English google serives framework.
  4. Remove the data you give ok
  5. You give subtract the phone and go.
I have a galaxy note i717 at & t and I worked, although I error is different from that are on this forum but equally try not lose anything and if I worked or not current. Thank You.

I tried several solutions and only this I worked well, I hope to work to you too.
  1. First you have to go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications
  2. Once here you go to the "All" tab.
  3. Seek the Google Play Store app and press "Clear Data" button.
  4. Then look for "Google Services Framework" or "Google Service Framework" application and do the same.
  5. Then restart the phone, wait a minute and ready.
I hope they work.

This worked really well on my HTC Desire 510. Thank you so much.

"There was an error retrieving the information from the server (df-dferh-01)" This error is because you are upgrading the service Google play as we try to use it, wait for it to finish upgrading, then cleared google play data store (in fit-applications) and ready solved the problem

We started with the universal solution to the errors of Play Store, which is easy to do, just you have to go from your device to Settings or Preferences - Applications - All tab, want and select Google Play store and delete data and cache, restart your device and run back to Play Store, write your data access to Google account and you will have solved many errors in one step.

But if the error comes from another application, the best you can do is go to the same previous section (Settings - Applications / Manager Apps - All tab), you want the app that is giving you problems and delete your cache and data, if the rerunning the App still have problems, you have one last step to be done, and this is:

Restart the Application Preferences Association

This step is best to process error or warning applies: com.google.process.gapps. You should go to Settings / Preferences - Applications / Application Management - All tab, find the menu button is located on the top right on the same line title and Applications have two options:

  • Sort by size
  • reset preferences

Choose Reset preferences and the warning that appears choose Restore Applications and restart your device.

With this step you back to the beginning where each App will ask you if you want to be the App Pre-determined for this or that, what good is that the data from these Apps are not deleted, just remove the permission already had the Apps to run, for example to watch a video, surfing the internet, etc, and you've solved many errors that come from play store, Google Services or any applications that are giving you trouble.

Well, it got rid of the DF-DFERH-01 error... now I'm getting RH-01 instead and Google Play Store won't load at all apart from the side menu. Working from a Kobo ARC 16GB...
by
I have been a Android "power user" for years & just experienced my first Playstore error a little bit ago, code DF-DFERH-01. I tried all the suggested tips of clearing caches, uninstalling Play app, checking permission settings, removing Google account etc. None of that worked when trying to add to a Playstore app review. I tend to be a bit detailed in my reviews to provide good info that other people can benefit from. One review that was already long I added a small paragraph of text and got the error code above. After trying all of the commonly suggested solutions and the solutions not working I shortened my review quite a bit and it was accepted right away as expected with most app reviews. Very few people type a looong review like I do, so this won't be a problem for 99% of people.

yey it work at last <3
