Hi all,

Some of the problems that appear in mobile phones with Android operating system can be solved with a phone upgrade to the latest version of software available. Also, if there is a newer version (eg 4.4.2 KitKat ) ready to be downloaded to your mobile phone, it is recommended that you install it , and correct errors probably bring new additions and / or functions that can be useful .

Once you 've checked into the category of Android updates already available so the last official update for your phone , depending on the model , you can update your Android Smartphone in two ways:

Via FOTA ( Firmware Over the acronym for Air , ie , will realize the update from the phone itself ) .
Connecting the terminal to a computer and using the software that enable companies to do so.

Update via FOTA

To update your Android with this method verifies that the battery is charged and the phone is properly connected to WiFi . Then go to Menu, Settings, About Phone , Software Updates. A window that shows if an update is available appears. If so, simply just click on it to install it. Indeed, in some models , you can leave a scheduled check to see if the phone is updated to the latest version . Now just click on Check if the option to do so appears .

Update via PC

Companies often provide software (PC Companion, in the case of Sony, Samsung Kies , etc . ) So that , once conectéis your Smartphone to a computer using a USB cable, you can perform the update. It is a very simple process , you should just follow the instructions on the screen of your PC.
